Auditions and Work

BirdLand Theatre is a Toronto-based, non-profit theatre company devoted to presenting the innovative staging of contemporary plays and to the development of new works. The company is focused on humanity and the human condition in the urban setting. BirdLand Theatre is committed to ensemble collaboration and artistic risk through its work with guest artists, partner institutions and the community.

BirdLand Theatre supports artists through several programs that include awards, residences, fellowships and commissions. The company engages students and community members through education and outreach programs.

BirdLand Theatre engages under Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) professional artists members of Canadian Actors Equity Association (CAEA). BirdLand Theatre is a member of Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT), a member of Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) and a member of Theatre Ontario.

Auditions

BirdLand Theatre auditions for each production occur during the season on an invitation only basis. We engage Equity members.
